Victoria Brownlie 
 

With over 15 years of experience influencing government policy and lobbying on issues from animal welfare to local government and business, Victoria Brownlie is now the chief policy officer at the British Beauty Council. Within her remit, Victoria champions the sector for the role it has in the race to net zero, STEM, careers, and the future of the UK’s position in the world as a positive trading partner. She continues to strive to highlight the industry as the driven, entrepreneurial, world leading and dynamic sector it is. 


Keith Conniford
 

Keith Conniford has an exceptional knowledge of all aspects of the industry, from salons and retailing to training and education – he has worked in the hair and beauty industry his whole life. As a strong advocate of the industry gaining more regulation, Keith is currently the CEO/registrar of the Hair and Barber Council where he is committed to do all that he can to ensure this as well as making efforts to warrant the hairdressing, barbering and beauty industry gets the professional status and recognition it needs and deserves. 


Paul Edmonds
 

Paul Edmonds is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated hairdressers in the UK and a visionary talent working across the film, television, music and fashion industries. However, he is not only an internationally renowned hair stylist but also a business owner and chair of the Hair and Beauty Route Panel for Apprenticeships and Technical Education. In this position, Paul is responsible for overseeing and making sure that apprenticeships and T levels are of the highest quality.


Edward Hemmings 
 

Edward Hemmings is an industry voice for hairdressing and barbering as well as apprenticeships, having worked all over the world putting on shows, seminars and workshops and speaking to audiences in their thousands. The creative director and director of education at Alan d, he is also one of the four team members behind the Salon Employers Association (SEA), campaigning on behalf of industry employers for parity across the sector’s business models and for reform on fiscal and tax matters. Edward has appeared on several radio broadcasts including the Victoria Derbyshire Show and Sky News.


Richard Lambert
 

Richard Lambert is chief executive of the  National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF), having joined the organisation in 2020 following his role as chief executive of the National Landlords Association. The National Hair & Beauty Federation is the UK’s current largest trade body for the hair, beauty and barbering industries and focuses on helping members to run successful and profitable hair and beauty businesses by providing advice, specialist support and tailored services.


Caroline Larissey
 

Caroline Larissey is the official director of quality and standards at the NHBF, the largest UK trade association for hairdressing, barbers, beauty, and aesthetics businesses. In the role, Caroline is responsible for championing the employer voice and ensuring quality, standards, and education across the sector. Acting as a conduit between government and industry, Caroline works with on issues such as training, apprenticeships, standards, qualifications, codes of practice, quality assurance, funding, and business practice.


Nahid Mortuza
 

For over 14 years Nahid Mortuza has worked in government to develop and approve qualifications and training. Involved in developing the first T-Levels, and in reforming Functional Skills qualifications, A Levels and GCSEs, Nahid now heads up the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education route team. In this role, she is responsible for working with employers to develop and maintain all apprenticeships and technical qualifications in a variety of industries, including hair and beauty.


Monica Teodoro
 

Monica Teodoro is the current general manager for education and professional development at L’Oréal Professional Products UK & Ireland. With a career rooted heavily in the hairdressing industry and a passion for supporting its future evolution, she has become an established and trusted voice within the industry. From how hairdressing can be pushed forward through education to talent nurturement and online offline strategies, Monica is dedicated to paving the way for the next era of hairdressing.

Hellen Ward is the director and co-founder of the highly respected and successful Richard Ward Hair and Metrospa in London. She also co-founded the newly formed SEA; an organisation created to represent professional salons and protect and preserve the future of the industry. No less than an expert in salon management, Hellen has built a stellar reputation consulting for some of the most prominent salon and spa owners, manufacturers, and hair industry suppliers.
