Having earned his stripes managing Peter Mark with his father’s expert guidance, Mark O’Keefe has gone on to establish his name as an Irish entrepreneur, founding the Sugar Culture brand which encompasses hair salons Brown Sugar and Sugar Cubed, premium barbering experience Sugar Daddy and new nail and beauty bar Sugar Coated.

Combining a wealth of knowledge in hairdressing with bold business acumen, Mark’s first launch was Brown Sugar in 2005, designed to bring a luxury hair and make-up experience to Dublin’s trendy South William Street, quickly earning a prestigious reputation.

Fast forward to today and Mark manages a team of near 100 staff, each chosen as masterminds in their fields and it’s paid off in an abundance of award wins.

With five brands already in his portfolio, two of which launched in Q1 of 2019, his success shows no signs of slowing down.

Mark joins the Salon Smart Dublin debate panel to discuss the key concept of time and topics impacting salon businesses’ today.
