DAY TWO – THE WORKING LUNCH #salonsmart18

The legendary Salon Smart Working Lunch followed the morning sessions, giving attendees not only the opportunity to enjoy a delicious spread, but to meet and network with leading brands.

On hand were L’Oréal Professionnel who encouraged delegates to enter their world of naturality with the introduction of Botanea – a 100% herbal, professional hair colour; and Source Essentielle – naturally derived hair care products.

While Simon Ticker, Salon Smart presenter and Managing Director of Salon Success along with 3•6•5 Education‘s Ken West were on their stand to guide guests through how to make their business become a bigger success. They also showcased live demonstrations of Kenra Professional and the new Neuro Liquid launch from John Paul Mitchell Systems.

Delegates were able to stop by Oway, the world’s first professional, organic hair colour, care and styling range with biodynamic and fair-trade ingredients, to experience their non-toxic, multi-sensorial experience.

Meanwhile, Shaun Pulfrey, the inventor and founder of Tangle Teezer, demonstrated the award-winning Blow-Styling tools live on their stand, showcasing the innovative design that gives any level of stylist the confidence to blow-dry in salon.

Over on Treatwell, delegates could demo the booking software the company provides to manage, market and support salons in boosting client bookings. They also unveiled exclusive new salon partner packages.

Creative director of Prostyles, Steph Stevenson, along with team leader Lara Regan, demonstrated live the unique blending and styling attributes, innovative fusion bond application and extensive range of shades available to salons.

Maletti were on hand to help complete salon offerings by showcasing their reliable equipment. The team discussed the importance of interiors in creating a comfortable client experience, practical environment for staff and on-brand aesthetic.

While Mutu invited delegates to discover just how much missed calls can cost their business and the ways they can help with their Salon Call Manager.

The National Hairdressers’ Federation were present to speak to guests about their membership, including ready-to-use employment contracts and a 24/7 legal helpline for everyday support.

Salon software company Mindbody, presented the power of automation to guests, explaining how it could help them keep in touch with clients anywhere, anytime.

While, Salon iQ demonstrated its latest tech including tablet/mobile based booking, checkout systems, custom consultation forms, GDPR compliance – a popular topic following Laura Knight of KWS’ talk on Sunday and new apps.

The buzz kept going over the 90-minute networking session with delegates departing with full bellies but more importantly, lots of leads on how to improve their offering.
