Daniel Galvin OBE reveals the brand’s new look and plans for the future

In a relaxed and open session on the Salon Smart sofa, Daniel Galvin OBE, together with son and style director James Galvin and operations director Stephen Nurse, lifted the lid on their company refresh (“not a rebrand,” said James), with a new logo, new website and plans to launch a new salon in London’s Kensington, as well as a new consumer product line.

Ten years on from when Daniel opened his first super-salon, the trio is now looking at the next 10 years (“we need to stay current,” said James), with the aim of setting up ‘neighbourhood satellites’ in and around London. And the trio’s collective passion for hairdressing was clear to see, with Daniel reiterating the standout theme of Salon Smart 14 – differentiation. Their advice? Find a niche and own it. Don’t be “just another salon”; understand and define what it is you do that is different, and better than everyone else.
