The director of Reed Hair in Maldon, Essex, which she owns with sister Vicki, Jane has weekly tracking meetings with every stylist, delivers ‘choc rewards’ for achievements big and small, and 8.30am every Friday she holds a group pow-wow. But the biggest decision she’s taken? To reduce client numbers! By charging for time, instead of services, Jane has reinvented the luxury client experience, encouraged a calmer and more enjoyable working experience to staff, hit nearly 3K positive online reviews and seen new client business grown by an average of 12%.
