WHAT WE NEED – FOR THE JUDGES
To nominate a Rising Star you must submit a portfolio (maximum A3 size) containing all of the following:

NOMINEE PROFILE (maximum 500 words)
Tell us about your nominee. Include details of the qualities, achievements and skill sets that make him/her worthy of the Rising Star title.

NOMINEE CASE STUDY (maximum 500 words)
Describe a single instance where your nominee’s performance has been particularly impressive. This can be in relation to any kind of hairdressing work or accomplishment but it must have been carried out during his/her employment with you.

Additionally, you must provide:

MOOD BOARD (maximum A2 size)
Your nominee should create a mood board, maximum A2 size, using words and pictures to describe their journey in hairdressing so far – eg, the skills they’ve learned, the people they’ve met, what they love most about the craft and what they want to do next. We want to see what hairdressing means to them! Make sure a photograph of the nominee is included.

ALSO REQUIRED – FOR CREATIVE HEAD USE ONLY 

Rising Star nomination form, signed by the nominator. Download copies at creativeheadmag.com/theitlist. Photocopies accepted.

Printed copy of the picture page of your nominee’s passport – to prove they will be aged 30 or under at the closing date of 20 May 2019.

A CD/USB device – containing a picture of your nominee plus 5 images as featured on his/her mood board. Images must be high resolution as we may publish them if your nominee reaches the Grand Final.

IMPORTANT: Portfolios must be maximum A3 size (297mm x 420mm). Mood boards must be maximum A2 size (594mm x 420mm). Make sure the nominee’s name is on the back of their mood board.
*Must have a maximum of three years’ salon experience and be educated to, or working towards, minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
