TOM CHAPMAN #SalonSmart20

In September 2015 Tom founded The Lions Barber Collective, which started as a group of international barbers raising awareness for suicide prevention. It has developed to become much more, becoming an established charity campaigning for the awareness of mental wellbeing.

Believing that the barbershop is a great, safe place for men to talk, Tom has developed BarberTalks to train hair professionals across the globe to Recognise, Ask, Listen and Help those in their chairs.

He’s received global recognition – including from HRH The Duke of Cambridge – and now holds a Most Wanted Award for Innovation title in recognition of his sterling progress with the charity.

On a mindfulness mission, Tom will talk about the importance of being aware of the people around you, the positive benefits of being more open and collaborative, along with how this will help progress the way the industry and society in general behaves.
