RICKY WALTERS #SalonSmartLive

11:50 The Great Debate
17:25 Meet & Mix

Joining the Great Debate at Salon Smart Live is the millennial stylist – Ricky Walters. Having left school at the age of 16 with few formal qualifications but a surfeit of ambition, Ricky has gone from strength to strength and is now the owner and creative director of Soho’s Salon64.

After moving to London to better his career opportunities, Ricky began working in the salon of a five-star hotel. Determined to achieve more, at just 21 years old, Ricky wrote a business plan and left it on the hotel manager’s desk, accompanied by a handwritten note reading, “I will fix your salon”. And he did.

Ardent he could do more still, Ricky began raising investment for an entirely new business venture: part salon and part private members club, as well as a comfortable place simply to pause and charge your phone or fix your makeup. And so, Salon64 in Soho was opened at the end of 2016.

At only 26 years old, Ricky has brought back the glamour of the original Parisian mansion house salons, but with a significant update to fit our 21st-century lifestyle. Since launching, Ricky and Salon64 have been featured in the Evening Standard, Vogue, Tatler, Forbes as well as numerous radio, TV and social media coverage. Ricky is also one of the Creative HEAD It List 2020 The Entrepreneur finalists, providing further proof that this award winning business continues to grow and evolve.
