MARGARET O’ROURKE DOHERTY #SalonSmartIRE
With a background in salon management, and specialising in business leadership, strategy and innovation, Margaret O’Rourke Doherty is dedicated to supporting workforce development and ongoing learning for salons and individuals within the hair and beauty sector.
In 2017 Margaret founded Image Skillnet – a national network providing subsided, enterprise-led and tailored training for hair and beauty professionals and businesses in Ireland. This year, Image Skillnet was named overall winner in the Education Business section of the 2019 All Ireland Business Awards.
Margaret is also a national council member of the Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association and chair of the Consortium Steering Group for the National Hairdressing Apprenticeship. And most recently, she co-founded the Hair and Beauty Industry Confederation (HABIC) – a new, non-profit organisation set up to bolster the continuing growth of the hair and beauty sector.
