The Ruffians Mentoring Scheme sees younger staff matched with experienced barbers to inspire each other. At fortnightly team meetings they work in pairs on creative projects in a relaxed environment – with a couple of cheeky drinks from the subsidised Ruffians bar!

This is a tough award to win because you need so many people pulling together, which is what makes it so special

Two-time winner Johanna was onstage in Vienna the night of the Grand Final, so colleague Mai Ha accepted the trophy on her behalf. Johanna is famous for her innovative platform and creative work, and has produced imagery to launch the new Trevor Sorbie Academy in Shanghai.
