UK scoops American Crew All-Star Challenge victory

The UK is the American Crew All-Star Challenge winner for a second year as Taylor Taylor Barbers’ Adam Mir was named the global winner.

At the global final in Brussels, he beat 14 other global finalists to scoop the title, which includes a cash prize of $10,000. He was named the winner by American Crew founder, David Raccuglia, in front of a 3,500 strong audience.

The final is part of the annual Revlon Professionals Style Masters Show, which showcases new collections and launches from the global brand. The crowd was treated to spellbinding shows from Orofluido and new launch Double or Nothing, as well as exceptional grooming work from a segment by American Crew that celebrated morning shave routines, as well as the brand’s heritage in its new Americana campaign – check out the June issue of Creative HEAD for more on that.

Revlon Professional’s international artistic and education director, Miguel García Cortado, also introduced a breathtaking section dedicated to “the dreamers”, soundtracked by songs from La La Land.

This all concluded with the global final of Revlon Professional’s Style Masters competition, which the UK’s Anne Veck won in 2016. She was on stage with the global finalists – including her salon colleague, Emmanuel Esteban, representing the UK – to present their intricate, unique avant garde models. This year Germany took home the overall prize, with France winning best commercial look; Spain scooping best live execution and Poland landing the Young Talent crown.
