Seven Scottish Salons march on towards the LCT17 Grand Final

A dazzling display of Scottish styling skills took place at the SECC in Glasgow last night (April 9), as 40 of the nation’s fashion-focused hairdressers competed in the Scottish regional heat of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2017.

During the live contest, competitors had just 30 minutes to create a fully formed, fashion inspired look to impress the elite group of judges. Based on their output, six salon teams and one talented young colourist were selected to progress to the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2017 Grand Final, which will be held in London on 5th June this year:

L’Oréal Colour Trophy – Women’s Image Award
Hair Directory, Inverness
Charlie Miller, Edinburgh
Linton & Mac, Aberdeen
Alan Edwards Salon, Glasgow

L’Oréal Colour Trophy Men’s Image Award
Jason Hall Hairdressing, Edinburgh
Copperfields Hairdressing and Beauty, Perth

L’Oréal Colour Trophy STAR Award
(for an individual colourist aged between 18 – 24)
Emma Doherty of Copperfields Hairdressing and Beauty, Perth

The North Western leg of the live regional heats takes place tonight (April 10) in Liverpool’s Rum Warehouse. Good luck to all those competing, and we’ll bring you news of the next batch of finalists who’ll be joining us in London first thing tomorrow!
