This interactive session with the Paul Mitchell retail team looked at maximising productivity in relation to stock, communication and merchandising.Led by business development manager John Hurine, regional sales manager Nickey Televantou, and business consultant Susan Nicol, the workshop was designed to challenge the audience to make back in sales what they spent on their Salon Smart ticket and they walked away feeling satisfied as the team set out the goals they need to reach to make this happen (never forget that stock = profit).
According to the team, clients automatically think the products are too expensive if they can’t see the prices and won’t ask you, but usually when they see how much something costs, it’s not as much as they were expecting.Also under the spotlight: growing your retail revenue through displaying your merchandise properly. The team revealed that 70 per cent of purchase decisions are made in store so salons need to help make that decision as easy as possible though exciting window displays, clean shelves that feature the bestsellers at eye level and clear prices.
