My Greatest Work!

I absolutely love these images we’ve created over the years…

Primary Collection 2008: Still one of my favourite Saco Academy Collections. I love the lighting and skin – shot by my long-time friend David Oldham.

‘Beauty First’ is our motto at Saco and this shot encompasses a natural and effortless feel which I believe is central to modern salon work. (It’s also of my wife so I never tire of looking at it :))

Code Collection 2014: Another favourite collection. This image is one of many of the very interesting and beautiful Connie – she’s my muse and the catalyst for many Saco Collections since we met five years ago.

Still Collection 2013: I love texture and this collection has lots of it. I also love the process of developing a complete concept for a collection and this illustrates all the elements and how far we can push each area whilst still maintaining balance.

NAHA Collection shoot 2014: I’m very interested in combining haircuts and dressing together and I think this is a great example. It was also a great shoot with my partner and friend Alain Pereque in Montreal. Good times!

X-Ray Collection 2011/12: I’m a big fan of projection and the use of light – you’ll see lots of it in our shows. This was a cool look we produced in homage to the photographic artist Fernand Fonssagrives.

Sanguine Collection 2016/17: You’re only as good as your last work and thankfully I do rather like this look from our current Academy Collection,  Sanguine (noun; blood-red adj; positive and optimistic).

Spectre Collection 2012: This collection was a collaboration with my friends at X-Presion (Spain). Saco produced three haircuts and colours, while X-presion did three dressings. We had an amazing few days producing the collection and for me it stands for friendship and progression – I believe we should all be open to collaboration as it brings so much in so many ways
