The ILLUMINA and Creative HEAD competition – terms and conditions
The ILLUMINA competition is open to all professional hairdressers in the UK and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years and over who have worked in a salon environment for a minimum of three years, excluding employees of Wella UK Limited, Talk PR, Creative HEAD, their affiliates or agents, the families of such employees and any other person connected with this promotion.
To enter, send your name, salon, contact address and telephone number with your submission by post to ILLUMINA Color Competiton, 21 The Timberyard, Drysdale Street, London N1 6ND to arrive before midnight on 1 June, 2013.
Your submission should include:
1) A typed explanation of no more than 500 words of the ILLUMINA COLORS used and mixing ratios, details of the colour concept, the technique used and inspirations for the final look.
2) One 20cm x 25cm colour photo of the model being submitted. Photographs do not need to be professional, but must be high resolution and clearly show the final colour result.
Both 1) and 2) should be signed by the entrant and fixed securely together.
Only one application per person.
Extensions – the model’s own hair is the basic working material. Hair extensions may not be used, and usage will result in disqualification. Basic padding with no artificial hair can be used.
The manipulation of images is forbidden in the competition. Photographs cannot and will not be returned.
All valid entries received by the closing date of midnight on 1 June, 2013, will be judged by a panel consisting of representatives from Wella UK Limited, Creative HEAD, Talk PR and an independent adjudicator. Judging will be based on the overall colour look you have submitted in your entry
The winner will be notified in writing within 14 days of the closing date. The winner must be available on 25th and 26th June in London to participate in the prize of a shoot in Creative HEAD magazine. Travel and accommodation costs up to £200 for UK or 230 Euros for Republic of Ireland will be reimbursed, provided original receipts are produced. All other personal expenses will be the responsibility of the prize winner.
In the event a claim for the prize is not received by the Promoter within 10 working days of notification, the promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner who fits the criteria outlined. The winner will be announced in the September issue of Creative HEAD magazine.
Entries that have been previously published cannot be considered – photo rights during the competition are reserved for Wella UK Limited and Creative HEAD.
Any contravention of the rules will render an entrant liable for disqualification.
All photography taken and received become the property of Wella UK Limited and Creative HEAD, and may be used for publicity purposes. Entry constitutes consent to any publicity generated as a result of the competition, and use on websites, social networking sites, magazines or mobile services at any time without further consent or payment.
Wella UK Limited and Creative HEAD cannot accept responsibility for entries not received, incomplete, delayed or damaged. Proof of postage cannot be accepted as proof of delivery.
The deadline is final – no entries will be accepted after the closing date.
The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
Competitors and their salons have no right to legal recourse.
