Brushes at the ready – the Big Hair Do returns for 2017!

100 salons. One BIG night.

This autumn – for the third year running – hairdressers across the UK will be sprucing their salons, putting on a swoon-worthy spread and throwing open their doors to clients for the biggest hair party Britain has ever seen. That’s right, the Big Hair Do returns on

WEDNESDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER!

The unique live hair event, brought to you by Creative HEAD in association with its sister consumer site Layered, will feature even more hair fun, product testing, DIYs, tutorials and stylist expertise – all captured and publicised via social media.

Once again, we’ll be teaming up with 100 salons around the UK, who will each invite consumers in for some after-hours styling and socialising. The goal? To get people excited about your salon, your team and the services you offer, so they come back again and again!

“There’s a lot of love for the Big Hair Do around the country, with savvy salons coming back time after time and using it as a key business building event,” said Joanna Andersen, special projects director at Alfol Publishing (producers of Creative HEAD Magazine and Layered). “It creates a huge buzz on social media and with everyone who takes part.”

“There are so many benefits to doing the Big Hair Do,” added Pauline Howe, managing director at Strands Hairdressing and Big Hair Do participant in both 2015 and 2016. “From team building; promoting new services, products or team members; treating your clients; creating a buzz; getting great PR; increased retail; new clients; keeping your clients up to date with new things – there really isn’t a reason not to do it!”

It costs just £75 to take part in The Big Hair Do and you’ll receive a special participating salon pack containing an event planning guide, two posters, 10 team badges and 50 branded bags to fill with goodies.
